Hello Dry Nights began from personal experience.
When my child was younger, bedwetting was something we needed help with. At the time, accessing an alarm through the public health system wasn’t an option for us, and we wanted to be able to do something ourselves. Fortunately, we found someone who could provide an alarm privately and support us through the process.
It made a huge difference.
That experience is one of the main reasons Hello Dry Nights exists today. I know first-hand what a significant issue bedwetting can be for children and their families – particularly as children get older.
Sleepovers, school camps and simply wanting to feel like everyone else can make something that might seem relatively minor to other people feel enormous to a child.
I’ve also seen first-hand the difference the right bedwetting alarm, used consistently and with good support, can make.
Another option for New Zealand families
Hello Dry Nights isn’t intended to replace the support available through the public health system. I value the work of hospital teams and enuresis nurses and am very happy to work alongside them.
We’re simply here to give New Zealand families another option.
For some families, that might mean purchasing an alarm and getting started themselves. For others, renting an alarm and having some additional support makes more sense. And for families who are able to access the support they need through the public health system, that’s great too.
My aim is to make good-quality bedwetting alarms accessible in New Zealand and to provide practical, friendly support to families using them.
Hello Dry Nights isn’t a huge company and it isn’t my full-time job. It’s something I continue to do because I’ve seen first-hand the difference overcoming bedwetting can make – especially to a child’s confidence and independence.
If you’re not sure which alarm might suit your child, or you’d simply like to talk through the options, please give me a call.
Ka kite,
Jess
